Cassandra's 2011 Weeklong Intensive Workshop

Jawaahir Studios
1940 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN

A six-day workshop:

  • Five days of dance classes (10:00 to 4:30 or 5:00 daily)
  • Live drum accompanist
  • 3 performances included: Jawaahir repertory, Oriental show, and dinner show featuring YOU!
  • Technique for Oriental and Folkloric
  • Two choreographies
  • Conditioning and stretching
  • Lecture classes
  • At least 3 helpful teaching assistants to give you individual attention
  • Saturday review/video session
  • Vendors
  • Complimentary henna artist: our fabulous Angela from Ancient Traditions Mehndi

Cost of the complete weeklong package: USD $676. Space is limited to 30 participants.

A $100 non-refundable deposit will hold your place in class with the balance due March 7, 2010. Cancellations receive 50% refund (less deposit).

Dahlal will probably be here for your vending pleasure Wednesday-Saturday. Dahlal is the leading provider of costumes, music, scarves, beads, and everything else Belly Dance.

Alsadu will also probably be here for your vending pleasure on Thursday and Friday. Alsadu specializes in historic non-Western textiles, rugs, artifacts, jewelry, ceramics, and furniture.

I just wanted to drop a note and say thank you for a delightful week. Your performance on Saturday night was a treat, especially with the wonderful live music.

Several times in class over the past year, you've made the comment, "Ladies, you're dancers." This past week, I feel like I've transformed from someone who takes dance classes into a dancer. Thank you again for a wonderful experience.
